Only a portion of my lights work

This guide outlines ways to fix an Evolution system that has a portion of lights that are not responding to App commands. This guide may be helpful if the app shows the selected pattern working but the lighting is not.

Solution 1: Confirm Zone Settings


  1. Open your Evolution App and click the Settings icon.
  2. Tap Controller Settings.
  3. Referencing the Customer Folder that came with your system, input the correct Light Count for each Zone you have setup.
  4. Ensure that each Zone is Enabled and Mirrored correctly.

Solution 2: Disconnect your Oelo System from power


  1. Flip off the breaker associated with the Oelo System and wait 10 minutes.
  2. Flip the breaker back on then use the app to test that your lights are working properly.

Solution 3: Factory reset your Oelo System


  1. On the Control Unit Board, press and hold the Test button for 5 seconds until the Light Strand turns RED.
  2. Wait for the BLUE light on the Control Unit Board to start flashing quickly.
  3. Relaunch the Oelo Evolution App and follow the Initial Setup Steps
  4. Confirm that the lights are working properly.

Solution 4: Replacing a bad LED


If you have tried the solutions above and your system still does not turn off, you may have a bad LED Light.
